It's been forever. Sigh.
I'm not going to try to catch up. I just thought I'd jot down a couple of things.
1) I'm going to the spa today, for pretty much the whole day. Thank you, Evan!!!!!
2) I've decided that if I ever win $100 million, I'm going to pay for all my family and several friends to move to the same city, or at least state.
3) Jack is such a big boy now. He is a little walking machine and gets into everything! He's also being unpredictable with his sleep lately. So boo on that.
4) Texas is very HOT in the summer.
5) I have been reminding myself lately that my problems are kind of luxury problems. What do I mean by that? Well, like with Jack being weird about sleep, it's kind of like "Oh, waaa, my beautiful, healthy baby is occasionally cranky. Poor me. Or if Jack is pulling tons of books out of bookshelves and scattering them everywhere, it's because we have a lot of books and other things he can get into. And finally, if we don't feel like we're super involved in friendships and outside activities here, well, we do have a lot of enjoyable family time together and aren't overburdened with obligations. So there. That's me looking on the bright side. :)

ReplyDeleteTotally, TOTALLY feel you on your second point. Being in Israel with my bro, sis-in-law and new baby has been amazing. I love being with another mama and baby all day and being able to just walk around the corner to see lots of cousins or Liron's mom. It's SO nice and I wish my life were like this at home!
I feel your pain on this new Jack phase. Sadie hates her toys and must destroy what looks like organized fun. She throws the DVDs and creates new ways to high jump her barricade. The kitty litter calls her name.
