Dear Readers of My Blog:
I wonder who you are. About 15 of you comment on a fairly regular basis, so I know that you read. However, some of you seem to read with some regularity, but never comment, so I'm not sure who you are. Don't get me wrong, I probably have only about 30-40 regular readers (based on Google Analytics), plus the randoms that occasionally drop by, but I'd like to know to whom I'm writing.
Here's where I need to fully acknowledge that I "lurk" on a few blogs. I knew some of the authors years ago but haven't spoken recently. Others are blogs I surfed onto and decided that I like, but don't know the person, so I don't comment.
But still, I'm just putting this out there. If you read the blog and haven't commented recently, just take a second and say hi.

ReplyDeleteI always want to do a post like this, but people whose blogs I lurk on have done these posts and I never de-lurk, so I figure they wouldn't de-lurk for me either. I am interested to see if you learn anything from your post...maybe it will motivate me to do one too.

Thanks for everyone so far. Maybe the comments from the people I know who read will encourage those who don't regularly comment to chime in? Maybe someone who is a regular reader should pose as a lurker? ;) Kelsey, I'm not a vegetarian - and for that matter I don't even jog these days. I was vegetarian for a few years and that was how I described myself freshman year at BYU before I actually met my roommates. They all laughed because I guess I made myself sound like some health freak.

ReplyDeleteMary, I check in on yours and Evan's blogs fairly regularly. Some blogger commenting formats (like yours) don't get along with me very well, though, so I just never bother. I like to consider myself fairly tech savvy, but I can't figure out the problem. Lame, I know.
